DIY Wreath Ideas for Fall

October 15, 2020 by AllFreeSewing Leave a Comment

DIY Fall WreathsFall is my favorite time of year, and I sure want people to know it!  I think the outside of my house ends up decorated more for autumn than it does for Christmas. I’ve got a scarecrow, pumpkins, a bale of hay—you name it, it’s probably in my front yard right about now. But all of my fall decorations would be in vain if it weren’t for the cherry on top: a DIY wreath on my front door!

See, a wreath is the first thing people see when they walk into someone’s house. Wreaths are homey and welcoming and seriously underrated for times of the year that aren’t Christmas. Learn how to make a wreath that’s perfect for pumpkin season with these DIY wreath ideas just for autumn!

DIY Wreath Ideas for Fall

If you’re looking for something colorful, this Floral Fall Wreath is a project that’s easy to make and gives a cute rustic look to any front door. Love the florals but looking for something a little more formal? The Felt Flower Wreath uses a similar technique but is a little more elegant. You can make it in any seasonal color for a versatile wreath that can last for years! For another easily customizable fabric wreath, you can’t go wrong with this easy Plush Wreath. The fall colors in this tutorial make it a great choice for autumn, but it can easily be dressed up and transitioned into winter, as well! For a more traditional fall decoration, the  Fall Pumpkin Wreath is the way to go. With little sewn pumpkins and fabric leaves, you can really embrace the season’s trends and display them in style!

Fall Floral Wreath For a project that’s less sewing-intensive, the Scrappy Fall Wreath will do the trick. Use up your scraps and create a totally cute DIY wreath at the same time! The Fall Fabric Scrap Wreath uses a similar no-sew technique but is a little more neutral, with little fabric accents bringing in fall colors to the design. Similarly, the Autumn Burlap Tie Wreath does the same thing but with various shades of burlap for a country chic effect. And finally, the most creative wreath idea by far is this DIY Fall Wreath from a Pool Noodle—you can upcycle a summer staple into a cute fall wreath in no time!
