February 7, 2016 by Seams and Scissors 4 Comments

It might not be shorts weather just yet, but this is always the time of year when I end up going through my closet and clearing out the things I don’t wear anymore (gotta make room for a new spring wardrobe, after all!) Before you get rid of those old, worn-out jeans, though, you’re going to want to check out this Scallop Hem Denim Jeans Cut-offs tutorial! Zoe will show you how to give your denim a makeover and turn your jeans into these adorable scalloped-hem shorts! Once the warmer weather hits, you’ll be all set with this cute new piece – no spending required.

Looks like they would be really, really short. Wouldn’t want my granddaughters wearing them.

Yikes, so true! Would be cute in a more “Bermuda” length, but “Daisy Dukes” are OUT thank goodness!! At least in polite society..:)

Just hard would it be …that you just make them longer isn’t that the beauty of doing it YOURSELF!!!!

unfortunately, if you are cutting off a pair of jeans because of wear, they don’t usually end up very long–the legs wear out where thighs rub together. I don’t think even Daisy would wear them off the movie set!
