Hello Sewists! For those who celebrate, Merry Christmas! Hopefully you’re enjoying the day whether or not you’re observing. As you’ve probably noticed, we like to soak up the spirit of the holidays here at Seams and Scissors.
“Are you talking about the hundreds of holiday DIYs you threw at us over the past few months?“ you ask.
Yes, that is exactly what we’re talking about. Yet apart from festive and simple sewing projects we frequently show off (we do it because we care, people!) we also love “the holidays” because of the infectious good cheer. Now worry not, dear sewists. We won’t try and persuade you to go out there and carol. We just want to pass on the love to those we care about (Y-O-U).
A few days ago one of our editors received the gift pictured from one of her “non-sewing” friends.
“I don’t know if you can really use this or if you already have one, but I got you this mini sewing kit.” Said the anonymous friend.
Swelling up within the often stone cold soul of this particular editor (eh-hem, Editor Annie), were feelings of warmth, gratuity, cheer, all good things. There really is something to be said about the thought behind a gift. When your friend cares enough and knows enough about you to give you a reactive kit for when your pants split, you know you’re loved.
So, on this special day we’re continuing our feelings of all things warm, fuzzy, and white bearded by gifting you another re-release. No, it’s not a collection of gifts or clothing, it’s an eBook of DIY fabric flower tutorials.
Over a year ago we created this eBook as a testament to the spring, and we’d like to re-release it at an unseasonable time as inspiration for all of you to begin 2015 afresh. What better way to start again than with flowers?
Now fitted to one column for a more mobile-friendly experience, this eBook is easier to read than ever. See what flowers you want to make by exploring this amazing eBook, Fabulous Fabric Flower Tutorials: 7 Ways to Learn How to Make Fabric Flowers.
