As the weather warms up, craft fairs are going to be popping up all over the country. If you’re in the Pittsburgh area and you’re an avid sewist or quilter, you’re going to want to check out the Pittsburgh Creative Arts Festival! From March 4-6 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, you can kick off your March with a fun-filled weekend.
The Pittsburgh Creative Arts Festival is your one stop place for everything fabric and fiber. With classes, demos and a marketplace featuring sewing, quilting, long arm classes, surface design, needle felting, dyeing, embellishing, and more, you and your friends can learn new techniques and have 3 whole days to try and explore! A chance to play on machines by Janome, Babylock, Brother, FeltLOOM, featuring sergers, embellishers, quilters, cutting tools, and more in the Creative Open Studio. There will also be a Creative Block Challenge sponsored by Creativebug: you will have a chance to create a quilt block with all of the materials provided for you and win one of 3 prizes from Creativebug.
A grand prize of a Janome sewing machine will even be randomly selected on Sunday at the end of the day. Registration is open now, so don’t hesitate – secure your spot today! Click here to visit their website!
