I love the look of some of the antique treadle machines – flat black with gold leaf. I don’t know if I’d like the same combo on a modern machine? Kind of sort of maybe? Yep, that’s my answer. Some had bright cloisonne style decorations too, but I can live without that.

Sewing machine colors don’t really call to me, but if I had to pick, I think I’d pick seafoam green I think having a white machine helps when you’re using colors in your project and a colored machine might interfere visually

Honestly I’d be happy with a white sewing machine but my favorite color is royal blue. The simple white sewing machine reminds me of my great grandmother and I have such wonderful memories of her always being on it making stuff for her absolutely favorite doll or fixing her pants because she would gain weight from eating sweet bread but shhh no one is supposed to know that lol she had a secret stash of sweets, she was diabetic. But she made me a few skirts that I still have til this day never going to give them up.

I really don’t care about the color of my sewing machine. I just would love to have a machine with all the bells and whistles – and it could be a beautiful sky blue color. That would be perfect!

I am the mom of 3 boy’s, the grandmother of 2 boy’s, and the great grandmother of 1 girl and 2 boy’s. I would like a sewing machine in any shade of blue, to celebrate having so many wonderful boy’s in the family. Having children to sew for is so wonderful and having a good machine would be wonderful.
