I have enjoyed your series of helpful sewing tips and tutorials. There is always something new to learn in the world of sewing. I currently have a Viking Sapphire sewing machine and am quite happy with it. I’d love to have a serger someday though!
I want to make place mats as gifts . Thank you for a chance to win .
I have a Designer 1 that I have had for a long time! I would love to have a new Bernina!
I have an old Singer that uses cams for the decorative stitches. Its not very good but I can still sew a straight stitch with it. I would really love to get a 3-4 thread serger.
I have a Viking Opal it meets my needs for the most part. Sure there are bells and whistles I would love on other machines like the laser pointer for HST but I can live with what I have.
I have a Singer. Love it (when it cooperates). Never had an interest in those programmable ones.
I have an old Singer 201 i’m using currently. I also have a hand crank Singer 99 that I need a base for before I can use it. I have access to a Singer 5500 that doesn’t belong to me anymore, but I’ve had a blast using the decorative stitches on it for some projects. I used it to make a knit project due to the stretch stitches but the 5500 was disappointing on the knit fabric I used.
Wish List: I’d love to have an industrial machine someday but my skills don’t justify it right now. I’d love to have a Treadle sewing machine… Finally perhaps owning my own computerized machine with decorative stitches would be wonderful too though. Despite how it sounds I’m happy with what I have, but we can all dream right? 🙂
I have a Babylock Ellures.
I have an old Phaff…love her…but a new one is on Wish List! 🙂 Loooove Angel at Fleece.com!! She has the best info & patterns, etc.
Thanks for chance to win your Give-a-way! 😀
I have numerous sewing machines. My favorite is my Janome 6600. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I have a Singer sewing machine.
I currently have a Viking Emerald, pretty entry level machine that I’m very happy with. Been thinking about an upgrade to a machine that has some machine embroidery features that would enable me to do some free motion quilting.
Three machines Brother, brother, and brother!!! All my tools and accessories are interchangeable!
i want an embroidery machine
Thank you for the contest! I have a Brother XL-3750..my first sewing machine. I bought it because I wanted to learn to quilt, and it has many quilting features. Lots of built in stitches, that I’m slowly learning to use. No complaints!
I have 2 Singers & a Brother that I use. I also have 2 old Singer machines, one was my grandmother’s & was originally a treadle machine. The other was my mother’s & is the machine I learned to sew on.
I have two Janome machines – a Horizon and a DC2012. I love piecing on the DC2012 and quilting with the Horizon. I’d love to have a longarm to quilt all the tops I seem to collect.
I have a Janome 6600 that is a wonderful machine and a 4 thread serger.
I have an old Singer that you adjust the knobs to get the stitch you want. It is a good machine when it cooperates. I love your site, your patterns, ebooks, posts tips and patterns. I can sew and have made myself several things . Now I’m trying to teach myself how to quilt. I would of course love a newer machine so that when I begin sewing, I don’t have to worry whether or not it will stop working in the middle of a project. Can’t wait to read your next post or see your next project.
I’m a fairly new quilter and only have my mom’s featherweight for mending work clothes and an old Kenmore machine that uses cams. It mostly sews pretty reasonably, but there’s my Wish List…
I would dearly love a new Bernina with all the stitches and features like I see in video tutorials! Maybe one day…
I sew with a Brother SQ9050. It’s a starter machine. I wasn’t sure I would like quilting, but I love making art in this way!
I have a Viking sewing machine.
I have a Phaff machine…very basic, old and was handed down to me. I would love a new one one with more different stitches and other things to be able to experiment with!!!
I do alot of voluntary mending for people I know like neighbours etc and for people that don’t or can’t sew or use a machine…… I just enjoy helping them out! 🙂
I have a Bernina 750QE that I bought a few months ago and absolutely love! I have been quilting on it, but also have used it for garment sewing. I usually use paper patterns, but have used the digital patterns, depending on what I want to do. The video was well done and informative.
I have a Kenmore for regular sewing and a Brother for embroidery, but I would love to have a Brother with a bigger embroidery field. Everyone said you will regret getting one with a 4×4 field, but I was nervous about whether I’d be able to master an embroidery machine and now I wish I’d gone for the larger field!
I have a old Riccar Cabinet sewing machine, a Brother 6000, I think that’s the # & a Brother Dream Creator VM 5100 that I just love, however I’m still learning all about it. Has the 11.25″ throat. & it embroiders.
I have a Janome 7700 that I splurged on last spring and I love it. Also have a featherweight and two treadle singers.
I have 3 Singers in my possession – one of them a 1954 treadle machine. A year ago I bought a Husqvarna Sapphire which has sewn miles and miles of stitches for me. I have heard wonderful things about Pfaff — with a built in walking foot. Perhaps I ‘need’ one of those! 🙂
OK, now you can send me the 4 fabric bundles from Quilting Treasures. Please! 🙂
I have a old machine that just is just a plan sewing machine . I would love to have one that does everything , it would be so great to be able to do all the new things in sewing on a new machine . I have had mine since I was 14 years old got it for Christmas one year. So I have had it 46 years . God bless you all.
I currently have a Husquavarna Emerald 118. It pieces wonderfully, but it has a very small throat space. I would love to have a new machine with more space to do more free motion quilting on bigger projects. I am fairly new to the quilting world — about 2 years. I have made two full sized quilts (used the walking foot to do simple quilting) and a few smaller projects – Christmas tree skirt, table runners, mug rugs. I am IN LOVE WITH QUILTING and would love to have a new machine to help me improve my quilting skills
I own a Singer serger and a Singer Craft Mate. I love using my serger to create a nice finished edge and it makes seams much more durable. I am currently scouring the internet to learn more about making clothing for adults and children.
I have my mother’s White sewing machine.
I have a Janome sewing machine and I absolutely love it. There are so many wonderful machines out there that have similarities to each other, so I don’t think anyone would go wrong with whichever machine they choose to purchase.
I have a Brother and a Necchi. My dream machine – a LONGARM!!! I’m not sure where I’d put it though. Do I really need a living room?!?!?!?!
I have a Singer that is about twenty years old. I also have a Brother that I bought two years ago for quilting but it broke down on me last month so now I’m back to using my Singer.
I would love to have a new quilting machine. The brand doesn’t matter as long as I can do my quilting. The Bernina machine is a high quality machine from what I have been told. Winning one would be wonderful.
I have a brother sewing machine, my granddaughter keeps her brother sewing machine at my house as well. I look forward to retiring and sewing, sewing, sewing.
I have two Berninas (2012, 1989), two Singers (1950 (Moms), 1973), and a 1876 Wheeler & Wilson Treadle (Great Aunt’s). So glad I found your site!
I have a Kenmore but would love to have a mid arm as I want to do free motion quilting and it’s just a pain with a regular domestic machine.
I have a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960. I love it. It is easy to use and does everything that I need a machine to do. It isn’t the fanciest machine on the market, but it is a great value.
I have always used traditional patterns, or drafted my own. This tutorial has given me more confidence in trying digital patterns.
I have a Brother sewing machine that I have been using for 3 years. I love it but feel I need to upgrade for my sewing of quilts.
I have an Elna 740 that is my newest machine. I use it for quilting. I have a 990 Viking that is 26 years old that I use for most of my piecing and garment sewing. I also have an old Singer that I sometimes use for piecing. Oh, almost forgot I have a serger too.
I am very fortunate to own a Bernina 830 QE with the embroidery attachment and a Bernina 550. I also have a Bernette Serger and a Bernette Chicago 7. I love and appreciate my local Bernina dealer who is always there to assist me with any questions, problems and maintenance of my machines. I love my Berninas!
I am currently using my mom’s Morse sewing machine. She is 86 years old and made things for me when I was little. Thanks for a chance to win the giveaway!
I have an old Pfaff that is a real workhorse. While I do not need a new machine, on my Wish List is a new Bernina with the BSR.
I have an old singer and the first singer serger that was made. I would Love to have Bernina, but I can not afford one. I am retired and live on a very fixed income. Since I retired I have been doing a lot of quilting. I am trying to make my children and grandkids quilt. I am hoping my singer & Me last long enough to get the job done.

I just adore all the helpful info you provide in such an attractive format. I would love a new Bernina or Pfaff…both have lots of great features and I currently have much loved models of both…read that approaching antique status!
I have a Brother, but would really love to have the added quilting and embroidery capabilities of a Bernina. At 68, I’m new to quilting and am really enjoying the creativity of fabric and design choices.
I have a Pfaff quilt expression 4. I really enjoy the large space for quilting. Also have a Janome, but the Pfaff with it’s IDT is my “go to” machine. When this one wears out, I’ll probably get another pfaff.
Do love to have a sewing machine that works reliably.
I have a very old but still functional White sewing machine. To give you an idea of its age, the White company was acquired by Electrolux in 1986. My machine is clearly much older than that, possibly late 60s/early 70s. What I WANT is pretty much anything NEW that has some features like needle threading! I’d be over the moon if I won the Bernina. 🙂
I have a Kenmore.. But wan a Bernina!!!
I have a Brother machine works well for me
I have a new singer quilter but have not made a quilt with it. I’ve only had it long enough to play with a few stitches, but got material last weekend so I will be quilting soon.
I own a Janome but would love to own a Bernina. A friend has a Bernina and I am amazed at the technology.
I have a Bernina 440 QE.
I still have my first sewing machine that is nearly 40 years old. I currently sew with an 12 yr Elna.
I sew with an old Kenmore that my sister found and sent to me. I would love to have a new Bernina.
Oh how I love quilting! I use a Brother right now. It’s getting a little “wonky” on me.
I have just begun to quilt and am excited to try even more projects very soon, working on a Brother sewing machine currently.
I have a trusty Bernina Virtuoso, had to get a new motor last summer so I bought another Bernina for backup. I have my Mothers and MIL’s featherweights that I take to retreats. I learned to sew on my mother’s and was given my MIL’s when she passed away because I was the only one in the family that treasured it and would use it. I also have several beginner machines (Janome, Brother, Bernette) that I use to teach my grandkids. I would love a new Bernina with a bigger harp space, but I don’t want the embroidery features or all the bells and whistles. I just love machines that sew fast and true. Thanks.
I haven’t sewed in years and a friend was moving and gave me a Singer 401A which was manufactured in 1957. lol. I just printed the owners manual off line so I can relearn how to thread it, stiches, etc. I have always wanted to make quilts. So at 62 that is what I’m about to teach myself. It would make it much easier if I had a brand new sewing machine.
Thanks.
I have the Huskystar–nothing computerized.
I am a beginner quilter, and having more fabric to use would be great! I currently have a Brother machine. It works well for me, but eventually I’d like to have a newer machine that has more room for machine quiltiing with a walking foot. Thanks for this contest offer.
Pat
I currently use a Brother. Like several people who have already posted, I would like to have a machine that I can either embroider or long arm quilt with. Thank you for the contest!
I have 3 Singers and a Bernina. My Singer Confidence Quilter is the one I use most. Love it!
I have a Brother sewing/embrodiery machine. I would love to have a newer Brother
Husquvarna/Viking is my favorite machine. I just bought a new one!
I’d like to try a Bernina I’ve had Singer and a Sears. They were good for the times. Can’t complain.
I currently use a Brother XL-2600i, I am just relearning how to sew (since 7th grade home ec. I’m 46 it’s been a long time) I would be thrilled to win the Bernina and see what that could do for my sewing skills. I’m hoping to become good enough to be able to sell some of my works. It’s always been my dream to have my own craft business, I crochet really well but the time it takes doesn’t pay in the long run. Sewing on the other hand goes very quickly and I am really enjoying the whole process.
First, I want to say MY SISTER CREATED A MONSTER!!! Over 2 1/2 years ago, she bought me a Brother LX2500 (extremely basic) to make my son’s t-shirt quilt. Well, after 2 years of being in the box, I got it out and started the quilt. I fell in love! and I’m so hooked! What a great stress reliever and artistic creation form. In the past 5 months, I’ve made 3 quilts and 4 table runners; self-taught myself FMQ — all with this basic Brother. Just ordered myself a Brother PC420PRW and I can’t wait to work creations with it. Thank you for letting me enter for the fabric bundles.
we have an old singer, but between 3 girls another would be nice
Thank you for the great info about digital patterns, I wasn’t aware that this option existed for the larger companies such as Simplicity. I will definitely use this resource in the near future! I sew & quilt on Baby Lock’s Symphony — which I love. A Serger is on my wish list too. 🙂
I have a Husqvarna Viking H5 and I love it! Thanks!
I have an old Sears Kenmore. I would like the Bernia pictured.
I have a Pfaff Ambition 1 but am not that happy with it and would like a Janome or Elna.
I have a Singer LCD but, I’d like to get a serger to make more professional looking clothing at home for the family. I’m a little afraid of them (sergers not the fam lol) and am excited about teaching myself something new.
I currently own a 20 year old kenmore and would love a Bernia.
At this time I’m blessed with several sewing machine. My daily sewing is on an late 1940’s Singer 15-91 that is gear driven (no belt). When traveling I have a Singer Feather Weight model 127. If I need a fancy stitch then there is a 1958 Singer 401 Slant-O-Matic which uses the cams and when the electric is off, there is a late 1800’s Singer Treadle. You can have the new plastic models, give me a machine I can tear down and repair myself and they are all sitting in the same sewing tables they came from the factory in. Love my machines, I’m not wishing or shopping for a new sewing machine. Fabric is my down fall, do we ever have enough?
I have a Brother and Singer machine. Each has different stitches. I would love to win this fabric and turn it into a quilt.
I have 2 berninas and a brother. Love the Berninas! I have a new Bernina 880. I kept my old Bernina 1080 to drag around to classes and retreats but would love to replace it with the new red machine.
I have a Viking Emerald for quilting
I, too, have several machines but my favorite is my Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.2. I would love to have a serger.
I have a Babyloc and a Pfaff Inspiration (that I LOVE!) but a Bernina would fit well in my sewing room. Busy sewing for my 1st grandchild (a girl, yay!!) who is due in a month.
At the present time I have a Husqvarna sewing machine with a quilt desk top attachment, that makes it nice when I have larger pieces that need to be sewn. I do love my machine, but a Bernina or a Singer 9960 or even an Embroidery Machine are some of the many machines that are on my wish list.
I love your videoes. I learned a lot from your videoes. I will love to have a new sewing machine. I love to sew.
I have a Viking model 6690 which has to be about 30+ years old.
I have a Bernina 1630 and B560. My dream machine is a Bernina 8 series machine. The fabric is gorgeous and would love a chance to play with it.
I have a “special edition” Janome, which I love. Also, my workhorse Kenmore.
At the present time I am using the Ellageo Baby Lock embroidery machine. Being a Senior I enjoy making things to sell and for friends. It has served me well over the last 3 years, but I would like to upgrade to Destiny, but just can not afford it. Or a high end Bernina would be even better. Sewing has been a joy for me since learning to sew my doll clothes with my Mother’s help. It brings such good memories sitting at her knee and helping her move the pedal.
I have a Janome and a Singer machine.
I have currently a Viking quilters edition 870. Love to sew with it gives me great pleasure. Thank you for all your tutorials I really enjoy and learn a lot.
I have the Brother xl2600i.
I have had a higher end Pfaff for quite a few years but haven’t taken the time to find out how well all the extra features work.
Interesting video. It was easy to understand. I have used both traditional and lately, more downloaded patterns. I like the ability to print on heavier paper but it does make it a bit more cumbersome to cut out.
I have a Designer Diamond sewing machine.
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I have a Husqvarna Viking SE. I would love a Janome or a Bernina. I do all kinds of sewing.
I have a Bernina that is 8 years old but would really like to update. Thanks for a great giveaway!
I have a Singer Serger and 2800 Brother and 8200 Brother. Love to sew.
Thanks for the chance to win materials.
I have a Singer and a BabyLock–each has its own merits
I have a brother but would alsoo like and embroidery machine someday
I would like to have an embroidery sewing machine. I now have a plain sewing machine.
I have a brother sq9185 and a Thomas cooks and sons long arm machine. I am happy with my sewing machine, but as I do a lot of charity quilts, I would love to update my long arm some day. Thank you.
My mother gave me her old Singer, but it is outdated and has to have specialty parts ordered like the walking foot I just received. The first one I ordered along with several other feet doesn’t fit.sigh
I have a 20-some year old Pfaff and an older Singer. I would like to update to a new Bernina – the one from the contest would be just perfect!
I have a Brother CS-770 computerized light weight. When this one bites the dust I will get something different. This one does not want to sew well through more than 4 pieces of fabric. And I can do a quilt (two pieces of fabric and batting) as long as the batting is relatively thin. Sigh. Live and learn.
I have a Kenmore sewing maching I bought with my college graduating money in 1979. It has made quite a few clothes for my kids. The kids are all grown and most of them are married now. I still use the sewing machine to do whatever sewing I have. An upgrade would be so awesome and such a blessing.
I have 4 sewing machines. An older Elna, a heavy duty Singer (still in the box), a Singer Preclude (which I got for $35 red ticket at Target), and a Brother PQ 1500S. I’ve made alll my quilts (30 quilts, 2 table runners) with the Preclude – which proves that you don’t need a high end sewing machine to quilt. Love the Brother for the free motion though. 😉 Thank you for this giveaway…….
I have a Pfaff7550 and 7570, a Singer feather weight and a Brother embroidery machine. I do use all of them.
I have a Viking machine, only the one. A second machine would be wonderful as I could use one for travel and one for home!
I have always owned Kenmore machines. Would love a new Bernina!
I have a Viking Designer 1, Viking Designer Diamond Deluxe, White Jeans Machine and a Janome Serger. Would love to have a serger that threaded itself!
I have a Janome Magnolia . My wonderful cousin gave it to me as a present. I am truely blessed . Before that my wonderful friend let me use her old and I mean old singer with all metal parts . I sew approximately 64 pairs of p.j. pants for christmas. and I also sew or crochet something for each of their birthdays and all baby events . I would love a new one with more features on it.Thanks for considering my entery
i have a Kenmore 30 stitch machine I have used for over 25 years. It is my old standby even though I have others that are newer and have more options. I have a serger also, but don’t use it to it’s full potential as I don’t have alot of time to sew.
I am a beginning learner, always afraid of what I’m stitching up will be wrong, but somehow with your tips, on how to do something that is so basic to sewers around the world, but a dumb comes along to learn from you yet again. Just keep posting your tips, your know how and advice, we beginners need all the help we can get.
I have a brother S300 it is so light that when I try to rush a straight seam it moves down the sewing-cutting table and I have to pull it back so I can keep it under my hands. I know I shouldn’t rush, but I get so excited to see how the item I’m doing is going to turn out…dumb yah.
I sew my performance outfits on my trusty Bernina 1090s. My mother saved her loose change for years to purchase the machine, she then gave it to me as my wedding gift. 🙂 it’s got a whole lot of miles (performance dresses, wedding dresses, and bridal party outfits!) but my Bernina keeps on chugging!
I have a Brother Project Runway XR9500PRW
Fashionable sewing machine. I love it.
I currently have a singer. I would love to have a server because I have yet to learn how to use one. Deep down, I honestly would love to have a Bernina 215. Since I have been raising my grandson who became afflicted with Autism at the age of 3, he’s 10 at the moment. I have had to quit my job so now I sew to make ends meet. I taught myself how to sew back in 2005.
I currently have a singer. I would love to have a serger even though I don’t know how to use one yet.
I have a Brother that I received as a graduation gift
I have a Janome Horizon 7700 with which I’m pretty happy. However, there are a few features I’d like to change. Those changes are all incorporated in their MemoryCraft 15000, and then some! Since I do not have a sewing, embroidery or quilting business, I cannot justify the PRICE for such a cool machine!
Thanks for your informative blog and for the exciting giveaway opportunity!
I want my old Singer back! I inherited it from my mom when I was in junior high school. She got it before I was born, probably around 1955. When it would no longer hold the thread tension, even right after repair, I got rid of it. I was in my late 30’s and I cried. Nothing since has been just right. Sigh.
My problem is if I invested in a really nice machine, where would I get it serviced. I have no place nearby so I service with my cheap one until it’s worth making the investment.
I have worn out my Janome Memory Craft 8000. This machine & I made my daughter’s weddng dress over 25 years ago. However I have my vintage Necchi to use for my new projects. A hope is for a computerized machine to sew & quilt. What interest in notes have been written by these talented women! What a task, choosing.
I have two Janomes, a MC 3500 and a Horizon 7700. I’d die for a long arm!!
I have a pfaff tiptronic 2030, a pfaff P3, singer treadle and singer featherweight.
I have a Singer CG 590 that I purchased new about 18 months ago. It’s not a very expensive machine but does all that I need and a bit more. There are many special or decorative stitches that will either never be used or that I would use sparingly.
I have a Janome but would never turn down a new machine!
I own two Berninas. one EQ 440..and the other is a non computerized sport that’s like 30 yrs. old. I also own two Feather weights. and a New Home Serger. My dream machine would be the latest Bernina that does embroidery since I have a new grand daughter and love sewing for her.
I have 2 Pfaff sewing machines. One is 38 yrs old and the other is 13 yrs old.
My janome is broken and can’t afford to fix it yet.
And my brother is just not the work horse the janome is.
I have a basic Kenmore bought in the seventies that is still chugging along, but, it is beginning to show its age.
I have a Brother that I bought myself for my birthday last year. Works great for me!
I have 2 Kenmore free arm machines. Would love to have an embroidery machine.
Hello! I’m a student away from home so at home I have a nice and new Janome that I share with my mum, but out at school (4000km away) I have a clunky and much less usable Singer that I share with my roommate.
I have a Pfaff 1229 that’s about 35 years old. I love it! It has a built-in even-feed foot that makes quilting a breeze.
I finally wore out the Singer I bought while I was in college (1965), no thanks to the humidity level in Florida the last 20 years, so I recently purchased an inexpensive, light-weigh Brother. Would like to have a small serger, as well, but so far, no place to put it. LOL!
I have a Singer Quantum for my sewing projects, A Singer scholastic for putting in zippers(I don’t have to change feet this way), a Baby Loc serger I inherited from my mom. I would love to one day have an embroidery machine.
I have two Brother machines.
I have a Brother Pacesetter embroidery 7500 but I keep breaking it so I need a spare and I would love a new machine because I am getting close to retirement. Thank you for the opportunity and chance to win this.
I currently have a Singer Sew Mate, it’s only seven years old and I can do a lot of different things. But that Bernina is sure looking very good!
I have a Bernina Activa 240.
I have a Singer featherweight. I love it.
I haven’t posted in a couple days, and was just given a warning that I was posting too quickly and to slow down! Strange lol
I had lots of stuff stolen including my fifteen year old 4 thread Kenmore Serger and my Singer. I miss them and would dearly love a Bernina wuth all the bells and whistles. Sewing is so rewarding when the creation is finished and you know you have a one of a kind masterpiece! Keep on sewin ladies.
I have a Bernina 830 and a Janome HD3000. Would love to get an embroidery machine someday.
While I have several machines, none of them really new, I really use my old Janome the most. We are very comfortable together and have sewn lots of miles.
I have a Janome but would like a Bernina someday!
I have a New Home sewing machine…have been wanting a Pfaff
I have a Singer….I am presently self-taught (sewing for only about 4 yrs or so now). I have made about 14 quilts so far (all given away to family & friends) & the ironic thing is that I failed sewing in school. It was the only subject I ever failed…was an A & B student!! Now I stay at home & sew or work on other crafts in my craft room. I can’t afford new fabric, so I recycle clothes, sheets, curtains, jeans and any other types of material that I have on hand. I have had some friends give me clothes that they no longer want. I am partial to Singer sewing machines, but that is probably due to the fact that it is the only brand of machine that I have ever used. I know that I could never be able to afford a fancy expensive sewing machine but my Singer seems to do very well. I love learning new techniques & am always trying new things….I practically live in my craft room! 🙂
I currently have a Singer machine but I would love to work on the Bernina! I teach sewing classes and that would be so fun to teach my students with! Thanks and all the best!
I currently have a Janome and a Brother. Thanks for the chance.
dragonfly9716 at yahoo dot com
I have a Singer -model 2950C . I used to have an Athena 2000 but it was too temperamental and finally died. thanks for the opportunity to win. I’ve just started quilting and am loving it!
I have a Viking Eden Rose. I am redoing a quilt that is wearing out since it is so love.
singer classic
I have a borrowed pfaff that needs the tension repaired. I’d love to have a sewing machine of my very own . . . any brand that would make even straight stitches, zig-zag and maybe a blanket stitch. Ah, the stuff dreams are made of!
I love making quilts, anysize. I want to add some decorative stitching to some of my quilts. I have a Bernina QE virtuosa 153 which I purchased new in 2005. I love my Bernina and have not have any problems with it. I would like a newer model which has decorative stitches installed So that I can pass the 153 to my granddaughter who is learning to sew.
I have a Bernina 1530, a hand-me-down from my mom! It has a lot of miles on it!
An older singer
I love using digital patterns. I love having my pattern right NOW!! I have a Singer 401A, a Featherweight and an Adler I guess is a Singer 15 clone.
I currently own a Brother, capable of doing some quilting projects, but would love to have another one that gives me some easier ways to utilize the functions. I’m a beginner at quilting, so anything at this point would be a tremendous boost! I’ve always wanted a Bernina, but couldn’t afford one. Still can’t, so winning one would be the bomb!! 🙂
I got my mom’s 40 year old Elna when I had my little girl almost 4 years ago but it needed a tune up and it was suggested that I put the money into a new machine so I bought a new Elna and have been attempting to learn to use it.
I have an old Singer with cams that does any jeans repair, and a newer (only 35+ years old) Singer that is a workhorse. Just got a walking foot for it from a friend and loved using it. I dream of a fancy machine that will sew and do embroidery, maybe even quilt, but don’t have the $$$$ for the Husqvarna in my local store.
I have enjoyed all of the tips and videos. I have a Bernina and a Janome. I would love a long arm quilting maching, but I have no space, or a machine with a wider neck.
I own a mini sewing machine, a Sew-Easy. I’m just learning to sew but I hope to get to the point that I can eventually supliment my wardrobe with my own creations!
I have an older Husqvana and I love it,
I would like to have a 4-thread serger.
presently, i have an old singer 50 plus years and it still sews beautifully. on my wishlist i would love an embroidery machine.
I have a pfaff 7570. I would love to have the H-Viking Designer Epic. Oh the capabilities, they sound grand!
I really enjoyed the video. I have a Pfaff Tiptronic 2030 that Ihave had for years and I still love!
I would love to have a sewing machine for tailoring and sewing jeans.
I have a Viking Sapphire 875 sewing machine and a Huskvarna 905 Serger.
I have a Singer sewing machine that I received as a gift over 40 years ago! It still works great!
I would love a new sewing machine to do complement the Singer!
I HAVE A JANOMIA ABOUT 16 YEARS NOW. WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A NEW BERNINA
I have an older Viking, a Lily 550.
I have a Bernina 1005. It’s fairly basic and about 25 years old.
I would love to have a computerized sewing machine. I have Been looking at the Baby Lock Melody. I haven’t looked at any Berninas although I love mine because they aren’t any Bernina dealers nearby.
I have a few older “hand me down” machines…even an old treadle Singer, but mainly use a Janome that is probably close to eight years old. It would be wonderful to win the Bernina machine…but truthfully, even winning the 4 fabric bundles from Quilting Treasures would make a wonderful birthday present for me…
Why at 10:55 PM EST September 28th is it saying on the post above September 29, 2015 2:50 AM?
I have several machines my mom’s Singer Featherweight that I learned to sew on – 50+ years ago, the Singer Golden Touch & Sew my grandmother bought but did not like, a Singer treadle machine given to me by a great aunt, my New Home 8000, my newest machine, a Baby Lock Ellageo Plus-only 1 month old, a New Home 234D serger and a Baby Lock Imagine serger. I would LOVE to have a multi-needle embroidery machine, but until I get to a point of no college tuition, I will use what I already own 🙂
I own a singer featherweight, Husqvarna lily. I’d like to own Baby Lock, sewing/ embroidery machine; top of the line.
I have an Elna that I love. Thanks for all the great sewing tips and giveaways!
I have an old Singer machine that I’ve had for years! thanks for the great sewing tips!
I have an old Elna Lotus and an older singer. I get by with what I have, but I wouldn’t mind a New machine.
I have a few machines, a Singer at the lake, a Kenmore, and a feather weight. I use them all from time to time. Would love to win a Bernina. Thanks for the chance.
I have the same Kenmore sewing machine I’ve had since 1982. I ogle all the new, fancy machines but since my own has never caused me trouble and weathered all my learning, I almost feel like I’m cheating just by looking.
A new Bernina would be awesome!
I have a Brother machine that I have had for several years. I enjoyed learning about digital patterns. I prefer the paper ones but an old can learn new tricks occasionally. Thanks.
I have a Pfaff serger which I not only use for finishing seams to prevent raveling, but also as an outside finish for wearables and quilts. I have a Bernina Bernette which I take to classes and also use for some heavier fabric sewing. Lastly, I have a Brother Innov’is combination sewining/embroidery machine. I would like someday to sell my Brother and purchase separate sewing and embroidery machines. Wanting either a Babylock or Viking with an extra large sewing area which would be ideal for sewing quilting projects and some of the other larger items I sew.
I thank you for this opportunity to enter.
I have a Singer Professional 2010. I love it although I would love to have a machine for my larger projects. I machine quilt a lot and the quilt gets bulky under the machine.
I have a Pfaff and wouldn’t be without it. It runs smoothly and has been the best machine that I’ve ever hard. I bought a new Pfaff but prefer my old one better. I have used any kind of material through this machine and it never hesitates one bit.
I have one of the first feather weight Singers, that was my Grandmother’s. I have retired it, to give to my
daughter. I now use a Janome or I have an older Singers, depends what I’m sewing. Would love to win
the new Bernina. Thanks for a chance.
am currently using a Montgomery Ward sewing machine I inherited from my late mother (deceased 10 years), so not really quilt friendly. it’s out of date regarding stitch variety, presser foot changes, bobbin loading, drop feed dogs etc all the things new machines now seem to have as standard. my machine has cams for decorative stitches! would love to update machine
I’m still using the Kenmore that my Mother got second hand for me when I was 16. My Mother was a seamstress and did alterations for people and tailoring for a men’s clothing store. Her love of sewing runs through my veins!!
Though I am 62 I am just getting into quilting this year. I absolutely love it! The fabric, the colors the thousands of patterns to choose from and all the bloggers and free quilting sites that are a treasure trove of information! I have a Brother (Laura Ashley series) machine that I am proud to have. It works hard for me without a problem. The only thing I would change is having more room in the neck since I do my own free motion quilting. Or I should say, I try my best at FMQ-ing! I would love to win the fabric to make my sweet mother in law a quilt for Christmas. Thank you for the opportunity!
I have a Singer machine that was a gift when I was 12, It has done a lot of sewing since then! 42 years worth!
I would love a new machine to compliment the Singer!
I have a cheap Wal mart (Wally World) Super Center Singer. Very simple and very simply breaks down after several months. I would love one of these Bernias because they are more quality made then a food store one. I can’t even sew on mine.
I have a Janome Gem. It’s a small machine. It does basic stitches, straight and a few zigzags to choose from. I am using it mainly for straight sewing. I would give this machine to my Aunt. well into her sixties and taking up quilting.
I currently have a 29 year old Kenmore that has stuck with me through highland dance costumes, clothes for myself, my children, and now grandchildren, Hallowe’en and Christmas decorations, home decor, and hours of everything in between. Someday I would like to add a Janome serger to my arsenal and ease the workload of my poor old Kenmore.
Thank you for the video comparing digital patterns. I have a Bernina 1080 which is showing wear. Many children’s garments from it. I would like a new one to sew two Christening dresses for great grandchildren. Very exciting to see the future in progress. Love to follow your site, always good things come from it.
