#SpringIntoSewing

It’s Day 4 of #SpringIntoSewing week! We know you’re itching to start some springtime sewing projects, like our dress patterns for spring that we blogged about yesterday. But before you start sewing, it’s important to decide what kind of look you want to go for! There are so many colors and trends on the runways these days that it’s hard to pick out exactly which ones work for you and your sewing projects. But never fear – we’re here to inspire you! Below, you’ll find four gorgeous spring color palettes that would suit any sewing project perfectly, whether it be a quilt or a flirty new skirt!

#SpringIntoSewing: Get Inspired with Spring Colors

icy tundraWe’ll start with a classic springtime favorite – pastels! Light colors like sunshine yellow and lavender are often associated with Easter, and by association, with spring. They’re the colors of the flowers that are just starting to bloom all around, too, so they’re perfect for all of your spring sewing needs! The colors to the far left and right are inspired by the Pantone colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, so you’re sure to be on trend, too!

icy tundra (1)Believe it or not, neutrals are actually in for spring this year, too. It makes sense when you think about it – unlike pastels, neutrals are fitting for any occasion and season so you can keep wearing your newly-sewn clothes into the summer and fall, as well. Not to mention, a classic neutral is sure to stand out against the bright flowers, green grass, and blue skies of spring!

icy tundra (2)This is probably my favorite color palette for spring – peach tones! These warm colors are so welcome after a cold and dreary winter, and almost have me wanting to skip straight to summer! They bring to mind pictures of sunshine and beaches. Not to worry, though – these pretty blossom tones will still be relevant in June and July, as well. I also love these colors for springtime makeup looks!

icy tundra (3)This post wouldn’t be complete without a little green thrown into the mix! These are all the colors I think of when I picture hanging laundry out to dry on a sunny day. They’re fresh, clean, and bright, and when paired with white accessories (or used as a pop of color with a white outfit) they make for a totally refreshing look that’s perfect for the office OR Sunday brunch.

Don’t forget – you only have until Sunday to enter our giveaway!
