T-shirt quilts have been popular for a while, but why stop there when there are so many other kinds of shirts to be upcycled? This Refashioned Shirt Quilt from Four Square Walls is made of men’s shirts! How many shirts has your husband gone through this year, whether due to a stain or a size change? Instead of throwing them away (when they were probably expensive in the first place), you can use that good-quality material to make a chic and stylish quilt like this – it would be a gorgeous accent piece for your living room, and you wouldn’t have to spend a penny on fabric!

My brother-in-law passed away in January and I made a quilt out of his shirts for my husband.
If not using old shirts – what might the yardage be for this quilt. I love it but want to make it in other colors
I upcycle old clothing as much as I can. I have made four such quilts and am working on another.
Allot of good fabric in old/used clothing etc. Saves on landfill and and goes to good use.
I made 18 quilts for a years, I some sold for our families, gifts, my brother in law gave me 8 boxes of fabrics, from his aunt passaway about 15 years ago I like to sew the quilts making.
I am interested in making something like that…what is the name of the pattern?
My mother and grandmother made quilts for years from old clothing. Even if something is worn in places – the rest of the garment may be good.
There is no yardage or pattern for this one. Where can I find that? Thanks. Good use of fabric by the way.
I have made many memory quilts from clothing of loved ones who have passed away. I use ties too. I try to capture any history that is on the clothing.
